Snoop Lion 1 on 1 & Uncut on Suge Knight, Drake, Diplo, & Reincarnated

Snoop and Suge Knight haven't spoken in years, so many were stunned when a picture of the two together surfaced last month. In a new interview about his Reincarnated album, Snoop explains why it was important that they put the past behind them.
DJ Skee and AXS TV / Skee.TV sat down with Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) for an extended, in depth, and, at times, very personal chat. This uncut interview covers the evolution of his identity and music including his first comments after squashing his beef with Suge Knight, discussing the meaning behind his new album and documentary, Reincarnated, why he is speaking out about gun violence, putting Drake on his new single and his connection to gun violence (after a gun incident in Toronto), working on a reggae album with Diplo, and much more.

Snoop on Suge Knight:
"Time heels all wounds. And then being a bigger man. And being one who accepts responsibility, being right or wrong. I like saving lives, I don't like taking lives. If that means putting my hand out saying I'm wrong, I apologize and be cool, I'll do that. As opposed to me pulling a gun out...and me doing something vicious to you."

Snoop on what Suge gave him:
"He gave me a voice to speak."

Snoop on why he put Drake on the "No Guns Allowed" Record:
"I knew about that certain shooting incident in Toronto. I always love Drake. I love him for his writing. He delivers great party records. I wanted him to say something on this record. But I feel like something and address some things that needed to be said. And take the party out of it for a minute."

Snoop on the "No Guns Allowed" message:
"Guns kill. Guns are good and bad. Good when they're in the right hands, band when they're in the wrong hands."

Snoop's twelfth studio album titled Reincarnated in reference to the transformation from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion. Executively produced by Major Lazer / Diplo, the album is influenced by the Rastafarian movement includes features from Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes, Drake, & T.I. and more. Reincarnated the album is set to release April 23, 2013.
