**Party threatens to Cancel N480 million
Contract contract with Channels, over
Station
Allowing Opponents to Appear on
Channels..
Senator Kaka's Interview with Channels TV
have angered the leadership of APC and
Ogun state Governor Ibikunle Amosun
blasts
John Momoh the Chairman of the TV
station.
The Governor is now threatening to Cancel
the N480m Retainer-ship Deal with
Channels
TV.
If feelers coming from Oke-Mosan,
Abeokuta
is anything to go by, it appears all is not
well
between the CEO of Channels Television,
Mr.
John Momoh and Ogun State Governor,
Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
It was gathered that Governor Ibikunle
Amosun, in the spirit of reading riot acts to
all his opponents, was said to have called
the
Channel's boss to give him tongue lashing
over his approval to allow Senator Kaka
appear on the television station inspite the
multi-million naira deal between the Ogun
State government.
Visibly angry Amosun, it was gathered had
threatened John Momoh that he might have
to cancel the N480 million deal being paid

the television station in instalments of N20
million every month to do hatchet job for
his
administration.
According to the source, although they
could
not tell the reaction of the Channel's boss,
but from the way the governor sounded, it
appear that Mr. Momoh was humbled by
the
call, with a promise not to repeat such in
the
future.
Amosun was also quoted to have called the
man an ingrate who does not appreciate all
the assistance he has been rendering to the
station including the tarring of the road
that
led to the company premises.
The source further said Amosun threatened
that other stations have equally sought his
assistance in similar deal but have chosen
Channels out compassion for the MD.
His words, "I pay other stations far less to
what I am paying you with the belief that
you will publicise our activities and black
out
any of our opponents. Believe you me,
when
such happens again, I will cut off this deal
which I believe your station badly needs at
this time.
How much did Fayemi pay you in Ekiti? Just
N20m to bring your programme to his
state.
And I pay you N20m every month, yet you
give space to my enemies to come and start
speaking rubbish against all the good works
we have been doing in the state." -

Inclusion Of Allocation For Aircraft, Seaboat, Railways In 2014 Budget Proposal By MDAs Was Systemic Error – DG Budget Office

Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala-DG-Budget-Office-Bright-OkoguFollowing the public condemnation that greeted the inclusion of spurious and phony allocations such as fuelling and maintenance of aircraft, boats and railway equipment by some ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in the 2014 Budget proposal, the Federal Government has blamed the development on systemic errors arising from the use of the Government Integrated Financial and Management Information System (GIFMIS).
The director-general of the Budget Office of the Federation, Dr Bright Okogu, made this clarification during the Public Presentation of the 2014 Federal Budget organised by the Federal Ministry of Finance, in Abuja, Monday.
It would be recalled that at least N14.5 million was allocated by the Mathematical Centre, Sheda; Investment and Securities Tribunal and Federal College of Education, Katsina for fuelling and maintenance of aircraft, boats and railway equipment. Meanwhile, the aforementioned agencies do not own aircraft, boats or even railway equipment.
However, Okogu claimed that these provisions were done in error and were glitches that arose from using the GIFMIS accounting system for preparation of the budget for the first time and related the error to what was witnessed in the United States of America with the Obamacare policy.
“What happened was that GIFMIS being a new system, had some glitches that reflected in some of the provisions. It is not totally strange. Many of you have read about the Obamacare and the challenges they had in actually implementing it. It is a big system, bigger than ours, but with the same features.
“What we saw in 2014 is because this is the first time we have used the GIFMIS to prepare the budget. I actually feel very proud. It is an issue which we have recognised and I want to use this opportunity to assure everyone that we will clean the books. We have already approached the National Assembly concerning this”, the DG budget said.

Russian oligarch's girlfriend sparks MLK day firestorm after posing on naked 'black woman' chair for fashion blog

Russian fashion blog Buro 24/7 used the shocking image of Dasha Zhukova Monday with an unrelated interview on the ex-model's magazine, Garage

  • Miroslava Duma, the blog's editor, also posted the insensitive photo on Instagram
  • Both were met with a barrage of disgusted comments, forcing Duma to delete the picture from Instagram and crop out the chair on Buro 24/7
  • In the image, the 32-year-old, wearing a crisp white shirt buttoned nearly to the top and blue jeans, perches on the extremely life-like black mannequin
  • The dummy is naked save for a pair of leather-look black panties, a belt, elbow length gloves and knee-high boots and appears to be straining
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's partner has sparked an internet firestorm after an online magazine published a photo of her sitting on a chair made to resemble a half-naked black woman - on Martin Luther King Day.
Buro 24/7 used the horrendously offensive image of Dasha Zhukova Monday to illustrate an unrelated interview about the former model's new magazine, Garage. Miroslava Duma, the blog's editor, also posted the insensitive photo on Instagram.
Both were met with an immediate barrage of disgusted comments, and Duma quickly deleted the picture from Instagram and cropped out the chair on Buro 24/7.

'This is incredibly racist,' Organizing for Women's Liberation tweeted Monday, after news of the unbelievable picture spread.
In the image, the Moscow-born 32-year-old, wearing a crisp white shirt buttoned nearly to the top and blue jeans, perches on an extremely life-like black mannequin who is naked save for a pair of leather-look black panties, a dominatrix-style belt, elbow length gloves and knee-high boots.
The dummy is laying on her back with her knees bent and a cushion, which Zhukova is sitting on, is balanced on her bottom.
Her neck is propped up off the floor uncomfortably, as if she is straining to look at her master, and her amble, naked bosom is pressed provocatively against her body.

Zhukova, staring at the camera, appears the complete opposite of the black woman she's weighing down.
FashionBombDaily.com editor Claire Sulmers was among the first to express her disbelief, claiming the photo's message was startlingly clear: 'White dominance and superiority, articulated in a seemingly serene yet overtly degrading way.'
She wrote on her blog that racism remained rampant in the art and fashion worlds and this needed to stop.
'The art and fashion industries are the few bastions of society where blatant racism and ignorance are given the greenlight in the name of creativity,' Sulmers complained.

RUSSIAN-BORN MAGAZINE EDITOR WHO POSED ON 'BLACK WOMAN CHAIR' GREW UP IN CALIFORNIA

Dasha Zhukova, the partner of Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich and editor-in-chief of bi-annual art and fashion magazine Garage, was born in Moscow but grew up in California.
The 32-year-old's father is a prominent Russian businessman and oil magnate and her mother was a Russian scientist. Her parents split when she was 3 and she and her mother moved to the US when she was 10.
She went to a privileged Jewish day school in California and graduated the University of California, Santa Barbara before returning to Moscow and later moving to London.
In 2008, Zhukova founded the IRIS Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting contemporary culture.
A year later, she was appointed editor-in-chief of the fashion magazine Pop but she only lasted three issues.
She and Abramovich, who is worth $14 billion, have two children Aaron Alexander, born 3 December 2009 and Leah Lou, born 15 April 2013. Abramovich has five other children from a previous relationship.
Zhukova's was previously with Marat Safin, the retired former Tennis World Champion Number 1 but the couple split in 2005.
Twitter erupted after Duma published the article, presumably not realizing citizens in the U.S. and around the world were remembering the Civil Rights movement and Martin Luther King's struggles for racial equality.
User Ric Caric wrote, 'I guess Garage Magazine thought that today would be a great day to advertise their racism,' while Julee A. Wilson tweeted, 'MLK is turning in his grave and I'm cursing these people's stupidity with all my heart and soul! MAJOR fail!'
User Nikia tweeted: 'Extremely disappointed in Miroslava Duma and Buro247 for posting this nonsense, especially on a day like today. smh,' and Alex von Tunzelmann wrote, 'Even in the grim, tasteless world of fashion photography, this revolting racist image- pub'd on MLK Day!- stands out.'

Neither Buro 24/7 nor Dasha Zhukova have yet responded to MailOnline's calls for comment.

Vladimir Putin Russia Loves Elton John ... Even Though He's Gay

0119_vladamir_putin_elton_john_gettyElton John is HUGE in Russia ... so gay people should feel totally welcome at the Olympics -- this according to President Vladimir Putin, who's trying like Hell to prove his country doesn't hate homosexuals.

Putin reiterated Russia would not discriminate against gay and lesbian athletes or visitors during the upcoming Sochi Olympics while speaking with the foreign press Sunday morning.

Putin used Elton as an example, calling him an "outstanding person (and) musician" -- and adding, "Millions of our people sincerely love him despite his orientation."

For what it's worth ... Elton spoke out against the country's "gay propaganda law"  last month during a concert in Moscow saying, "In my opinion, it is inhumane and isolating."

Can you feel the love tonight?

First pic of nun who gave birth and claimed she didn't know she was pregnant

Circled is the Salvadorean nun who said she had no idea she was pregnant when she gave birth to a baby boy last week.
33 year old Roxana Rodriguez, a nun with the order of the Little Disciples of Jesus, initially claimed she thought her labour pains were 'stomach cramps' when an ambulance rushed her to the hospital.

Her picture was published this weekend in the Italian daily newspaper, Corriere Della Sera. The new mum reportedly told her social worker:
'I am so happy. I feel more of a mother than a nun, I think that's obvious. I decided to call him Francis in honour of our wonderful south American Pope. I do not feel of guilt. I will be keeping him and bringing him up. He is a gift from God. I am little worried about all the publicity, not only in Italy but in El Salvador and all over the world. Everyone is talking about this and I don't think I will be able to return to my home country"
Sister Roxana took her vows and became a nun in the order last September and has since written an apology letter to the Church and her Mother Superior. She revealed that the father of her child is a man from her native El Salvador but has not named him. Continue...

A priest close to the new mum told the Italian magazine:

'It all happened last spring, around March or April time when she was back in El Salvador to get her passport renewed. She has not said who the father is but I understand he is an, shall we say, old flame of hers from when she was younger. At some stage I expect she will tell the father that he has a son and they will be reunited but I don't know when that will be.'

OJB JEZREEL CRIES AT THANKSGIVING SERVICE! …Says, “My Perception Of Life Has Changed, I Want To Impact Lives.’

In appreciation to God for sparing his life through his kidney transplant surgery in India, popular music producer, OJB Jezreel, invited friends, family and well-wishers to St Loius Catholic Church, Ikeja, for a thanksgiving ceremony writes TOFARATI IGE.
The church service was officiated by Msgr. John Aniagwu, Fr. Joseph Anyanwuu and Fr. Tobias Nwafor. During the ceremony held on Sunday, January 19th, 2013, the cleric announced, "This is a gathering of thanksgiving.

We have come to thank God that He did not abandon us during the struggle, but brought us into a new year. We need to give him praise," the priest admonished the congregation.”
When it was time for OJB's thanksgiving, the maverick producer, who still goes around with a nose guard and walks at a slow pace, moved forward surrounded by his three wives, children and well-wishers.
Dressed in a white native attire with loafers of the same colour to match, OJB was full of gratitude as he nodded his head vigorously while the priest prayed.

Overwhelmed by the significance of the event, OJB could not hold back his emotions as he broke down in tears when he got back to his seat.
Speaking  after the service, OJBstated, "I'm really overwhelmed by all this. Do you know what it means for a person to almost lose his life three times? I'm just really grateful to God. My mum, my daughter and I have all had strange occurrences, but I just thank God."

On if he ever entertained any fear during the whole ordeal, OJB responded, "Even now I'm scared. I mean, I've seen a lot of people come out of this and still die.
"My perception of life has really changed; I'm still going to be doing music, but now, I care more about impacting lives."
Speaking about his foundation, he revealed, "The Foundation is set up to assist people with diseases like cancer, hypertension, kidney ailment etc. We subsidise treatment for $10,000 or less."

Also on his forthcoming book, "The Celebrated Beggar," Jezreel stated that, "The idea is to let people know that it's not that easy, even as a celeb. Nothing is permanent; after a while, things change. For example, I was managing this ailment on my own for three good years without anybody knowing about it. At a point, I just had to cry out for help. I'm being real; I don't need to deceive myself."

When this reporter posed a question to him on whether his style of music would change together with his perception, OJB answered light-heartedly, "My music is still the same. That's a different ball game...e fe kin jeun ni (Don't you want me to eat?)."
OJB also debunked rumours circulating on the internet that he has been living a flamboyant life ever since he got back to the country. In his words, "All those stories are false; they're just speculations. They don't stay in my house so how do they know what I’m eating?

I'm eating the same garri and okro...I'm still living the same life," he enthused.
On the fact that he is allegedly disappointed in D'banj, he clarified, "I never said I'm disappointed in him. I only said his case was more personal because he was my boy. We launched his career in this country, and not Don Jazzy. We launched JJC in his country, you can askD'banj when you see him."
Has D'banj now reached out to him, we wanted to know. He said, "No, and I know he wouldn't do that. I'm not even interested in that.

Why should I give attention to one person who didn't do anything, over those that did something? What about the guys that went to the internet to support; guys like you who write about it? They are the ones I should be focusing on.

Like I said, my thank you is endless. Irrespective of how much was given.”
OJB's first wife, Mabel Okungbowa, popularly known as Mama J who travelled to India with the producer and donated her kidney was by his side, and we spoke to her about what was going through her mind during the transplant, "There was fear, but I put my hope in God. I hope and pray that God would perfect his healing, so he can do better things."
She also expressed gratitude to the people who supported her husband by donating money and by praying. According to her, "I know that Nigerians prayed, and I am grateful to everybody for that."

OJB's second wife, June Okungbowa, also had a word with our reporter. She said, "I'm grateful to God for life; for a second chance. God performed a miracle and he used Nigerians, and foreigners alike to do it. We are grateful to God because it did become very dark, but his love is above everything and he showed it to us; OJB is alive today," June, who has three kids for OJB said, while asserting that never for once did she entertain any fear as to his recovery.

As OJB was driven out of the church to the hospital, many could be seen gathering in groups and thanking God that the beat-maker survived. In the words of one of the well-wishers, "It's good to see OJB back and I'm confident that we'll be seeing a new, improved version of him."
