The results of a DNA test to prove whether singer Brandon Howard is the biological son of Michael Jackson have been reported as positive.
The findings were revealed during a live press conference broadcast on FilmOn. TV attended by the doctor who gathered the DNA for the test, TMZ reports.
Opening the envelope containing the DNA results Dr. Goodman said: "This is the DNA evidence. It's sealed. It's by a company in Washington DC.  I have a piece of paper in front of me which is a DNA medical lab result ... and it says in here the probability of parenthood is 99.9%. I think we have the proof."

The test results obtained by Alki David and his company, FilmOn.com claim that Brandon Howard is almost certainly Jackson's son. The labs where the tests were conducted were reportedly based in Utah and in Ireland.

David told TMZ Live he received Jackson's dental impressions from a Beverly Hills doctor that he got at an auction.  The impression is 30 years old, but David says its filled with DNA.
Brandon,  who now goes by the stage name B Howard  was not present for the announcement, steering clear of the spectacle, but David said Howard's DNA had indicated a clear match up.
"This is history in the making. This is the only known living son of Michael Jackson," said David.
Before the announcement the panel of guests including Howard's manager debated whether they believed that Howard could be the King of Pop's love child.
"He looks too much like Michael Jackson, He acts like him," said the doctor.
"Brandon was born in 1981. His mother was Miki Howard. She was being managed by Joe Jackson the father of the Jackson clan. And Miki's nickname was Billie. If you recall the song Billie Jean it all starts to become clear," explained David.
Child actor Corey Feldman was also present at the press conference. A close friend of Jackson, who he first met on the set of The Goonies, Feldman said that he feels that Howard could be Jackson's biological son.
"Personally, I do think he is. It felt like Michael was walking into my house again. I've never met two people alike. That said - I'm not a doctor."
"Brandon has never said he wants  to go after the estate for money. No matter what he has the spirit of Michael Jackson. He walks like him, he talks like him, he moves like him. That's what is so astounding," he added.
Remembering King of Pop Michael Jackson on his 55th Birthday
The DNA test results state a 99.9% probability that Howard is Jackson's son.
Feldman revealed that Howard had close and ongoing professional relationship with the Jackson family.
"He's written and produced for T3, Tito Jackson's son's band, he's been involved with multiple Jackson works over the past few years. It's not been denied that he's part of the family, we just don't know what part of the family."
Further adding to the speculation regarding Howard's associaton with the Jackson clan, David added: "I found a picture of the four Jackson brothers and who was standing between them? B Howard. And that for me speaks volumes."
The guests claimed that, unlike previous people who have claimed to be the offspring of the King of Pop, Howard has no interest in Michael Jackson's estate, nor in publicity and did this for his own personal reasons "because he wanted to know who his Daddy is."
The authenticity of the DNA test is yet to be officially verified.

BBC announces plans to close BBC Three as a TV Channel in 2015

Today the BBC has announced plans, subject to the approval of the BBC Trust, to close BBC Three as a broadcast TV channel in autumn 2015.
The plans would mean –
  • The BBC saving over £50 million a year
  • £30 million of that going into drama on BBC One
  • BBC Three being reinvented as a new and innovative online service
  • The freed-up spectrum being used to extend CBBC by an hour a night and to provide a BBC One +1 service
In an email to BBC staff, BBC Director-General, Tony Hall said:
“Since I came back to the BBC I hope I've made two things clear.
“First that the BBC is living with a licence fee that for five years will have been flat - it will not have gone up at all. And, at the same time, we are absorbing extra costs that we were asked to take on - for the World Service, S4C and the roll-out of broadband. That's why the organisation has had to look for savings - so that we, like everyone else in these difficult economic times, can live within our means. My concern - along with that of everybody I meet inside and outside the BBC - is to ensure that the quality of what we do is not compromised along the way. We are here to produce exceptional and distinctive programmes and services for Britain and the world. But I do believe, as I said only last week, that the BBC has taken incremental change as far as it can. Something has to give. And that means hard choices. But there is one choice I will never make - and that's to sacrifice quality. And I believe that's what the British public thinks too.
“The second point I've made is that the BBC is, by its nature and history, an organisation that constantly reinvents itself, an organisation that takes the idea of public service broadcasting - to inform, educate and entertain - and makes it relevant for each generation in our nearly one hundred year history. I remember myself the launch of BBC News Online when I was running BBC News. There was a great deal of scepticism to put it mildly. But we were doing what the BBC and its staff have always done - using our innate creativity to lead the way. That's why now - for this generation - I believe the iPlayer is a key part of the future for public service broadcasting. It's the gateway for people who increasingly want to watch and listen to what they want, when they want it - on tablets, on mobiles as well as other screens. I am sure that this is going to be increasingly important for our younger audiences. And reaching those audiences is vital for the BBC.
“Reconciling these two aims - financial and strategic - has led us to this difficult conclusion. We should close BBC Three as a broadcast or linear channel and ask Danny and his team to reinvent it as a channel online and on the iPlayer. We propose making this change in the autumn of next year. I believe it’s the right thing to do: young audiences – the BBC Three audience – are the most mobile and ready to move to an online world. 25% of viewing by 16-24 year olds is to catch-up or other screens and over the next few years we expect that to reach 40%. We recognise that, for now, most of this audience still do their viewing on television, and that is why we plan to show BBC Three’s long-form content on either BBC One or BBC Two.
“I’m convinced that the BBC as a creative organisation will be able to reinvent a space for young people on the iPlayer that will be bold, innovative and distinctive. It will not just be a TV channel distributed online - it will be an opportunity to look at new forms, formats, different durations, and more individualised and interactive content. It will play to BBC Three’s strengths, offer something distinctive and new, and enhance the BBC’s reputation with young audiences. And I will challenge everyone in the BBC to spend much more time focusing on programming for young audiences. We will lead the way.
“Let me just say to Zai and the BBC Three team: you produce, and will continue to produce, amazing programmes – bringing new ideas, new stories and new talent to our screens. BBC Three has an extraordinary track record – it’s been home to Gavin & Stacey, Little Britain, Bad Education and, right now, Bluestone 42. I’ve also been seriously impressed by the current affairs I’ve seen – from Blood, Sweat And T-Shirts and Our War, to Reggie Yates’s outstanding reports from South Africa, ending just this week. You can be rightly proud of what you have achieved so far. I want you to carry on making programmes for young audiences that continue to break new ground.
“This is the first time in the BBC's history that we are proposing to close a television channel. I can’t rule out it being the last change to our programmes or services. It will save the BBC over £50 million a year. £30 million of that will go into drama on BBC One. And it also means we will extend Children's programmes by an hour a night and provide a BBC One +1 channel. I must stress - all of this is what we are proposing to the BBC Trust. They will have the final say.
“I am certain that this decision is strategically right - but it's also financially necessary too. Delivering the savings programme following the last licence fee negotiation means these changes are happening earlier than they might in a better financial environment. And I don’t simply want to keep salami slicing the budgets in a way that means our frontline staff are always asked to keep doing more with less. I am sure that we will have to face up to further difficult challenges as we build the BBC for the future. But in making those changes, I am determined to ensure we embrace the new opportunities technology gives us - and match that with programming of the highest quality that is simply the best in the world.”
Danny Cohen, Director of BBC Television, said:
"This is the biggest strategic decision the BBC has made in over a decade. While it has been an extremely difficult decision born out of financial necessity, I believe it is also a creatively energising and innovative move. In autumn 2015 we plan to close BBC Three as a linear TV Channel and in its place we will develop a bold, ambitious, future-facing new version of BBC Three online. I think this can be transformational for both the BBC’s relationship with young audiences and the BBC’s approach to the digital age overall. When we take BBC Three online we need to see it as a brand new Service launch. It is an opportunity for both radical thinking and unprecedented collaboration both inside the BBC and with our audiences and creative partners outside the corporation.
“The new version of BBC Three online will continue to have the things we all cherish most about the Service – innovative comedy, unrivalled current affairs for young people, incisive and entertaining factual, and original entertainment. I want and expect us to keep making shows for young audiences of the quality of Our War and the public service value of BBC Three’s recent season on young people and mental health. BBC Three will continue to build on the comic brilliance of Little Britain, Gavin And Stacey and Bad Education, of the entertainment value of Russell Howard’s Good News and Backchat. And BBC Three will continue to commission current affairs of the pedigree of recent documentaries on Afghanistan, the Congo, India, South Africa and of course the tough challenges faced by young people here in the UK. What is changing is the way we deliver these programmes to our audiences.
“BBC Three will continue to do all the things we love but it will also have the freedom to break traditional shackles and allow the BBC to be a leader in digital change. It will not just be a TV channel distributed online. There is a wonderful creative opportunity here to develop new formats with new programme lengths – and to reach young audiences in an ever growing number of ways. Will we still want to make all of our current affairs documentaries at 60 minutes in the age of Vice and YouTube? Will we find that contemporary documentary and formats work much better at 40 or 45 minutes than 58? What will we learn about the length we want to make each episode of our dramas or comedies, perhaps learning from new market players like Netflix and Amazon? Although I’m sure that video – televisual – content will be at the core of the new BBC Three, we’ll need to challenge ourselves to think and create differently. In this sense, BBC Three will be the spearhead for a new age of digital change for the BBC. It will be the pathfinder as we learn how audience behaviour is changing in the coming years – and it will allow the BBC to be ready for the next waves of disruptive digital disruption.
“We will also make sure that every piece of long-form BBC Three content finds a home on one of our linear television channels. We do not want our content for young audiences to be available only to those with a broadband connection – and we don’t want anyone to miss out on the great new programmes we will be producing. So every long-form programme will be transmitted on either BBC One or BBC Two, with most playing at 10.35pm or a little later. Playing them on BBC One will massively increase the reach of these programmes for young audiences and guarantee that we do not risk creating a ‘haves and have nots’, a digital divide when it comes to enjoying what we are making for the public. It will also make BBC Three an even more exciting place to be for on-screen talent. Their shows will be shown on BBC Three’s new home on iPlayer but they will also know that their work will get a showing on either the nation’s biggest television channel, BBC One or the hugely popular BBC Two.
“There is undoubtedly a strong counter-argument to this change and I want to be direct and open about that. The BBC has less money than it used to but it is trying to do ever more. That is why we are making this decision on BBC Three now. In an ideal world we would not be making this move for a few more years. Given an entirely free hand I would make this change in about four or five years’ time, using the years between now and then to slowly shift the balance between linear and on-demand BBC Three content. That would be a safer, less risky strategy. But we don’t have the choice to wait and do that due to the investments we need to make. I want to protect programme budgets from more major cuts across the board and the BBC has to find the money for new obligations including the World Service that will cost £350m a year.”
Notes to Editors
  1. BBC Three was launched on 9 February 2003. Under these proposals, it would close in autumn 2015, and be replaced with a new online service.
  2. BBC Three is currently the channel with the biggest 16-34 market share in the UK, within its peer group – bigger than E4, Sky One and ITV2 in its transmission hours. It is also bigger than C4 for 16-24 audience (7.7% share v 7%, tx hours 2013).
  3. BBC Three has won 4 BAFTAs in two years: best factual for Our War series one and two, best drama for The Fades, and best comedy programme for The Revolution Will Be Televised. It was Non-Terrestrial Channel of the Year at MGEITF in 2005, 2008 and 2010.
  4. BBC Three has established a leading reputation for new UK comedy, current affairs and documentaries made for young adult audiences– our aim will be for these to continue online.
  5. This proposal, if approved by the Trust, will save over £50 million a year. The reported service licence content spend for BBC Three in 2012/13 was £89.7m. However, without Olympics funding and after taking out DQF savings we project the service licence content spend of BBC Three in 2015/16 to be around £75m. The content costs we know we can save are over £50m, of which we are reinvesting £30m into drama on BBC One. The rest will go support our ambitions on the new iPlayer, including BBC Three online. We’re now going to work on the detail of the new service which will deliver further savings. We’ll set out full detail in the summer when we put our proposal to the Trust.
  6. BBC Three will be reinvented as a new online service. The freed-up spectrum being used to extend CBBC by an hour a night and to provide a BBC One +1 service.
  7. Subject to the approval of the Trust, BBC Three would close as a broadcast channel in Autumn 2015.

Crimea Referendum Vote On Joining Russia Scheduled For March 16

SIMFEROPOL, Ukraine (AP) — Lawmakers in Crimea called a March 16 referendum on whether to break away from Ukraine and join Russia instead, voting unanimously Thursday to declare their preference for doing so.
"This is our response to the disorder and lawlessness in Kiev," Sergei Shuvainikov, a member of the local Crimean legislature, said. "We will decide our future ourselves."
The 100-seat parliament in Crimea, which enjoys a degree of autonomy under current Ukrainian law, voted 78-0, with eight abstentions in favor of holding the referendum, and for joining Russia. Local voters will also be given the choice of deciding to remain part of Ukraine, but with enhanced local powers.
There was no immediate response from the Ukrainian central government to the vote. On Wednesday, Ukraine's prime minister told The Associated Press that Crimea would remain part of Ukraine.
In Moscow, a prominent member of Russia's parliament, Sergei Mironov, said he has introduced a bill to simplify the procedure for Crimea to join Russia and it could be passed as soon as next week, the state news agency ITAR-Tass reported.
On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin said Russia had no intention of annexing Crimea, while insisting its residents have the right to determine the region's status in a referendum. Putin called a meeting of his Security Council on Thursday to discuss Ukraine.
A referendum had previously been scheduled in Crimea on March 30, but the question to be put to voters was on whether their region should enjoy "state autonomy" within Ukraine.

Lamar Odom Drug Dealers Suspected in Kardashian Jewelry Heist

Lamar Odom
's drug dealers could be linked to the $250,000 jewelry heist at Lamar and Khloe's house ... because we're told the dealers threatened to break in to get the money Lamar never paid.

Multiple sources involved in Lamar's drug deals last year tells our source... Lamar wasn't paying his tab.  In fact, our sources say he was in the hole $15K to just one dealer back in Sept. and he owed another more than $40K.

Lamar would fend them off by saying he was loaded and therefore good for it.  He would also justify not paying from time to time because the quality of the drugs was "wack."

We're told Lamar owed 10s of thousands of dollars to drug dealers when he left for Spain last month.

Now the plot thickens.  We're told Lamar was getting text messages threatening his safety and also warning him they would break into his home to get even.

Cops don't know who stole the expensive jewelry but we're told there was no sign of forced entry.  One source says he has reason to believe one of the dealers had connections to someone who works for the family and had lawful access to the house.

MICHAEL JACKSON SELF-PROFESSED LONG LOST SON Going Public with DNA Evidence ...

EXCLUSIVE
030514_b_howard_launch
Michael Jackson has a 31-year-old son -- at least that's what the man claims -- and we're told
he plans to go public tomorrow with what he believes is ironclad DNA evidence.

His name is Brandon Howard -- the son of singer Miki Howard, whom Joe Jackson
represented back in the 1980s.

Sources close to Brandon tell us, Miki and MJ met in 1982 and Brandon was born soon after.

Brandon grew up in Cleveland and now lives in Miami.  He's now a singer who goes by the
name B Howard.  And he's had some success.  We're told he's part of a new Akon song.

As for why B Howard is so sure he's MJ's son ... our sources say he somehow acquired DNA
from an old orthodontic device worn by Michael ... it's unclear how he got hold of it, but we're
told the test results show a match.

The results will be unveiled Thursday on FilmOn.com.

Oh yeah ... once the DNA results are revealed, he plans to go after the MJ Estate for money.

Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman tells our source, "We've never even heard from him," adding,
"Any deadline for claiming to be Michael's child has long since passed."

Check out the music video B Howard released in 2011 -- in which he blatantly bites MJ's dance moves and vocals.

Yenagoa—The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 5, Hashiru Argungu, yesterday raised alarm over alleged plot by some politicians in Bayelsa, Edo and Delta States to cause crisis in the region ahead of the 2015 general elections.

Argungu said that the politicians were capable of threatening security and safety of the people of the states.
The AIG spoke at a meeting with leaders of the political parties and the Conference of the Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, in the state at the state Police Headquarters in Yenagoa.

Present at the meeting were representatives of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by the state Secretary, Keku Godspower; All Progressives Congress, APC, represented by Tonye Okio and Chief Joel Tubonimi, among others.

He warned the political class to be mindful of some elements engaging in activities capable of throwing the country into a state of anarchy.

He said: “You are all aware that the security of lives and property is a major factor to our collective wellbeing and this cannot be compromised. To do so will mean an invitation to anarchy. A break between rounds! Mike Tyson and Bobby Brown take time out from a late lunch to smoke

Mike Tyson is no stranger to grabbing a quick bite, but on Monday the boxer took a long late lunch with Bobby Brown.

The unlikely lunch fellows treated themselves to a fancy seafood meal in Beverly Hills, California.
Obviously sampling as much as possible from the Crustacean by House of An eatery, the pair had to take a break, with Mike enjoying a miniature cigar and Bobby a cigarette.

Both men are sporting much fuller figures these days, but while many may have struggled to recognise Bobby, there was no missing Mike.
The 47-year-old could never be mistaken for anyone else thanks to his distinctive tribal facial tattoo, which is almost as fierce as the former heavyweight champion's reputation.
For his seafood lunch, the Hangover star - who has previously claimed to be vegan - wore blue jeans with a navy T-shirt and a leather suit jacket.

Walking in the fighter did not wear the jacket showing off his still impressive arms, but then covered up inside the establishment.
Also looking a far cry from his glory days when he was the heartthrob of the RNB scene of the late Eighties and early Nineties, Bobby donned a striped shirt with dark denim jeans and Adidas shell toe sneakers.
While the pair was enjoying their smoke break, a woman recognised the famous boxer and struck up a conversation.

While the pair may seem an odd combination both have faced similar trials and tribulations in their lives.

Both men have struggled with substance abuse problems and alcoholism with Mike revealing in August he was on the 'verge of dying because I'm a vicious alcoholic'.
The pair have also spent time in prison with Whitney Houston's former husband jailed last year following his third DUI conviction and Mike landed behind bars for sexual assault in 1992, assaulting two motorists in 1999 and in 2007 for cocaine possession and driving under the influence.
Recently Mike has found success as a comedian performing a one man show about his life and starring in The Hangover.

  • When you take a meal to his house, the dish is immediately cleaned and set on the table so you won’t forget it.
  • Your partner insists on staying home and watching T.V. rather than go out on a date.
  • The bar is suddenly stocked with beverages that neither of you drink.
  • Friends casually ask, as if they already know something, if the two of you are still together.
  • Your partner doesn’t try to ease your insecurities about an ex.
  • Last year you received a dozen red roses for Valentine’s Day; this year you received a card and a candy bar.
  • Your partner is too busy with projects on weekends to hang out and too tired on Saturday night to go out with you.
These clues suggest that your partner is possibly cheating. They at least indicate a change in your relationship. If you checked off many of these signs, it may be time to step back for a little soul-searching.
Where do you want your life to go and how can you create that life?
What kind of relationship do you want in your life?
Does it include someone who is unfaithful to you?
Your relationship may or may not be over, but some reflection is needed to answer these questions in order to pursue the life, love and partnership that you deserve.

7 dead in Boko Haram attack in Cameroon

YAOUNDÉ (AFP) – Seven people were killed on Sunday when Boko Haram militants launched an assault in northern Cameroon, a Cameroonian security source said.
“Boko Haram killed a (Cameroonian) soldier. Our soldiers killed six of their guys” and “captured” two others near the Nigerian border, the source told AFP on Monday, requesting anonymity.
A local Cameroonian NGO confirmed the assault and said there were “victims” without specifying the number.
“On Sunday, Boko Haram Islamists entered Cameroon… there was a clash between them and the soldiers,” said Mey Aly, from rights group Os-Civil Droits de l’Homme.
“Around 30 heavily armed Boko Haram soldiers crept discretely into Cameroon. A villager saw them and raised the alarm,” she added.
Soldiers blocked their path and a firefight broke out. Cameroon’s rapid reaction force sped to the area.
“The region’s populations have been terrorised by incursions from Islamists like Sunday’s. We call on stronger efforts from the authorities to reassure the population,” she added.
Earlier Monday, an official said that suspected Islamist insurgents had killed 29 people in Nigeria’s embattled northeast on Sunday, the latest carnage in a surge of violence that has left more than 100 dead this month alone.
The Nigerian military has launched a major offensive aimed at crushing the Islamist uprising, which has killed thousands since 2009.
On Wednesday, Nigeria’s Information Minister Labaran Maku said that much of his country’s problem with Boko Haram stemmed from its border with Cameroon and called for “increased partnership” from its northern neighbour.
Nigeria has alleged that the Islamists have set up bases in sparsely populated areas of its northeastern neighbours, including Cameroon, Chad and Niger, and flee across the border after staging attacks to avoid military pursuit.
“They strike. When we pursue them, they retreat into Cameroon,” complained the minister.
