BREAKING NEW.....KATHERINE JACKSON SMELLS CONSPIRACY Between Murray and AEG

MICHAEL JACKSON's ........ Katherine Jackson thinks there's something rotten in both Denmark and L.A. County Jail ... because she just filed legal docs which insinuate AEG and Dr. Conrad Murray are conspiring together in the wrongful death lawsuit.

Katherine -- who has sued AEG Live for negligently hiring and supervising Murray -- wants to subpoena the visitors' logs from the jail, to determine if AEG has sent its employers, officers or lawyers to the pokey for chit-chat with the good Doc.

Katherine has put Murray on her witness list.  Interestingly, AEG Live has not.  It's obvious Katherine wants to know if AEG Live is trying to coach Murray or get info from him to defend the suit.

As we previously reported ... Murray wants to stay a mile away from the courthouse -- which ironically is exactly how far Murray's jail cell is from where the trial will take place.

Murray's lawyer, Valerie Wass, tells Our source "I believe the subpoena is a rather desperate, last-minute attempt by counsel for KJ and the children to try and find or create a surreptitious relationship between Dr. Murray and AEG."   Wass then says flatly, "There is and has been no such relationship."

Michael Jackson's intense and decades-long addiction to powerful prescription drugs will be front and center in his family's wrongful death trial ... which kicks off today.

Katherine Jackson and Michael's 3 kids are suing AEG Live, claiming the company negligently hired and supervised Dr. Conrad Murray ... who killed MJ with a massive overdose of Propofol.

TMZ broke numerous stories after MJ's death ... revealing how Jackson had at least 19 aliases to score Rx drugs from various doctors.  It was well known in L.A. and Beverly Hills medical circles that MJ would doctor shop to find professionals who would open their surgery centers to give him Propofol.  The doctors -- and dentists -- would justify the drug by saying they needed to put him under for minor procedures, such as acne removal.

We reported in one case ... a famed doctor used a gynecologist's office -- run by a doc who specialized in vaginal rejuvenation -- to perform a minor acne treatment under full anesthesia.

The Jackson family will argue AEG Live had a duty to monitor Murray.  The problem is ... Jackson's the one who found Murray in the first place and that Murray administered Propofol long before the doc signed on to the "This Is It" tour.

AEG has a slew of doctors on its witness list ... to make the case that Jackson's addiction was in full bloom long before it entered the picture.

Katherine and the kids are asking for more than $40 BILLION in damages.

CONRAD MURRAY SINGS LIKE A (DYING) CANARY Over MJ's Death

Conrad Murray has broken his silence about NOT testifying in the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial ... and he did it by SINGING on live TV. 

Murray -- who is serving a 4-year sentence for killing MJ -- called into "Anderson Cooper 360" moments ago from jail. At first he sang the same old tune ... insisting he was innocent and in the process of appealing the case. 

But then he did something really, really weird -- belting out his version of "The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot" (better sung by Nat King Cole)! 

Murray seemed to be explaining how much he and MJ had in common ... and why he's chosen to plead the 5th​ in Katherine Jackson's $40 billion suit against AEG -- but you gotta watch it, because his singing is super awkward ... and awful.

MICHAEL JORDAN Paternity War CASE DISMISSED

The woman suing Michael Jordan for paternity and child support -- claiming he fathered her 16-year-old son -- has dismissed her case against the NBA star ... but he might not be out of the woods yet. 

Our source has learned Pamela Smith has filed legal documents in Georgia asking the judge to dismiss her case against MJ -- and her request was granted without prejudice (meaning she can refile at a later time if she wants to).

It's unclear why Pamela wanted the case dismissed -- considering she had recently asked the court to order a DNA test ASAP. 

It's possible MJ and Pamela reached some sort of settlement ... or agreed to halt legal action while they try to work things out. It's also possible she simply decided to walk away thinking she would lose in court. We simply don't know. 

Either way, MJ has succeeded in taking the situation out of the public eye ... at least for now.
