Why Ebola is so dangerous

Health workers in isolation ward, southern Guinea (1 April)

Health care workers are among those most at risk of catching Ebola
The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is the world's deadliest to date. More than 670 people have died as health officials in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone struggle to control the virus.
What is Ebola?
Ebola is a viral illness of which the initial symptoms can include a sudden fever, intense weakness, muscle pain and a sore throat, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). And that is just the beginning: subsequent stages are vomiting, diarrhoea and - in some cases - both internal and external bleeding.
The disease infects humans through close contact with infected animals, including chimpanzees, fruit bats and forest antelope.
It then spreads between humans by direct contact with infected blood, bodily fluids or organs, or indirectly through contact with contaminated environments. Even funerals of Ebola victims can be a risk, if mourners have direct contact with the body of the deceased.
Molecular model of parts of the Ebola virusThis molecular model shows the parts of the Ebola virus scientists are studying in the hopes of finding drugs that will slow the spread of the disease
The incubation period can last from two days to three weeks, and diagnosis is difficult. The human disease has so far been mostly limited to Africa, although one strain has cropped up in the Philippines.
Healthcare workers are at risk if they treat patients without taking the right precautions to avoid infection.
People are infectious as long as their blood and secretions contain the virus - in some cases, up to seven weeks after they recover

ATTENTION! Things You Need To Know About The Deadly Ebola Virus To Stay Safe
Did you hear that the dreaded EBOLA Virus has entered Lagos?
Things you need to know about Ebola Virus  to stay SAFE…
1. It is a Central African disease that has traveled over countries in a living host to West Africa. It is easily spread by physical contact and eating contaminated bush meat. Major hosts are in 5 species of Bats but monkeys and apes are easily infected and killed.
2. It kills in a week, leaving no time to treat an individual.
3. It has no known vaccine or cure
4. Known cases have been experienced recently in Guniea, Liberia and Central Africa Rep, spreading eastwards and westwards towards Nigeria. Death toll so far in West Africa is over 100.

What we can do?
1. Avoid eating any bush meat for now! Especially Apes and Bats.
2. Wash your hands as regularly as possible, especially after shaking a stranger. It is spread by contact.
3.The most straightforward prevention method during Ebola outbreaks is not touching patients, their excretions, and body fluids, or possibly contaminated materials and utensils. Patients should be isolated, and medical staff should be trained and apply strict barrier nursing techniques (disposable face mask, gloves, goggles, and a gown at all times).
Traditional burial rituals, especially those requiring embalming of bodies, should be discouraged or  modified.
Awareness is key, don’t just read or ignore…

Khloe Kardashian Reveals She And French Montana Are Abstaining Due To His Religious Beliefs - 'There’s no sex during Ramadan!'

Khloe Kardashian is not having sex with her rapper boyfriend French Montana due to his religious beliefs.

The 30-year-old reality star revealed during a radio interview on Thursday that she and Montana are abstaining during the month of Ramadan out of respect for his faith in Islam.

'There’s no sex during Ramadan,' she told Power 105, adding jokingly, 'That’s so fun.'

French also said he is currently eschewing alcohol for Ramadan as well as fasting during the daylight hours, per the requirements of the faith.

Meanwhile, Montana has been accused of being a bad influence on Khloe. But the Kardashian had some harsh words for her critics.

'They’re not f**king him, so why should they care?' the 30-year-old said during the same radio interview, alongside her rapper beau.

'Or maybe they are,' she said laughing, while still giving French a pointed look.
The reality star said she has stopped caring about what people say.

'People are going to comment no matter what,' she told radio host Angie Martinez.

'If I dated the most clean cut perfect guy they’re going to comment.'

She said she has learned from her mistakes, alluding to her split from ex-husband Lamar Odom.

'I’ve learned from my past that you have to keep some things private,' she said.

French chimed in during the interview, and said that reports that Khloe's mother Kris Jenner disapproves of him are simply not true.

'Me and Kris Jenner are best friends,' he said. 'We drink together.'

The 29-year-old also revealed that it was Puff Daddy who introduced him to Khloe.

French certainly seems smitten with his new girlfriend, and he's not shy to show it.

He posted a picture on Instagram last week of Khloe's rear end.

While French can hardly be accused of being the classiest boyfriend, he is obviously very proud of his 30-year-old partner's shape.

In the image only the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's bottom can be seen as she lies on an unmade bed in a pair of brown hot pants.

French captioned the image just '#asssscap.'

Obviously Khloe is not too concerned about her boyfriend posting the private snap, as the pair have been inseparable as of late.

The music producer was by Khloe's side as she marked her 30th birthday at Tao nightclub at The Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday.

The pair then jetted off to New York to film French's new video clip.

Clearly head over heels for his reality star girlfriend, for once the 29-year-old ditched the scantily clad video vixens in favour of a scary mask wearing Khloe.

While in Las Vegas, Khloe opened up about French telling Us Magazine: 'He is just funny. He's light and it's easy.

'That's what I need right now... I like how he's always happy. Smiles are infectious. They're contagious. I like that.'

I Haven’t Killed Myself, Sorry For My Mistakes—Kumasi Sex Tape Girl

The girl in the leaked Kumasi sex tape saga, Benedicta Yeboah, also known as Nahnah Abynah, has refuted media reports claiming she committed suicide after the video came out.
'Pls m nt dead,' she said in her first public statement on social media, after the tape leaked five days ago.
In the leaked video, Benedicta is seen having sex with a young man believed to be a level 200 student of the Kumasi polytechnic. The two made faces directly into the camera as they videoed their sex bout.
An apologetic Benedicta wrote on her Facebook wall on Sunday that: 'I'm most proud of the blessings that God has bestowed upon me, in my life. He's given me the vision to truly see that you can fall down, but you can still get back up. Hopefully I'll learn from my mistakes and have the opportunity to strengthen and improve the next thing I do.'

Andy Murray set to persevere with Amelie Mauresmo

Mauresmo and Murray linked up for Wimbledon (©GettyImages)

Andy Murray looks set to retain Amelie Mauresmo as his coach despite a disappointing start to their partnership.
The Briton revealed to his fans, via his Facebook page, that he was back in training in Miami ahead of the American hard court season. In a series of photographs, one stood out - it showed Mauresmo busy on her phone during the session.
According to various news outlets, the snaps confirm the rumours that Murray and Mauresmo are set to persevere in their coaching relationship.
Bad start
In many sports; a coaching shake-up often leads to a short-term improvement in results, but it certainly wasn't that way with these two. The British no.1 had two title defences at Queen's and Wimbledon on his hands as he appointed the 35-year-old on a temporary basis for the grass court season.
Murray was dumped out of Queen's in the second round and was then humiliated in brutal fashion by Grigor Dimitrov on Centre Court at the SW19 quarter-finals. The difficult summer has seen his world ranking plummet to the verge of him falling out of the world's top ten.
These results came as a shock considering a coachless Murray defied his least favourite surface of clay to make it to the French Open semis, his best ever showing.
Discontent
There had been some suggestion that the pair could go their separate ways after Wimbledon. Murray appeared agitated with his team in the loss to Dimitrov, and it hadn't been a particularly happy camp in the build-up.
Rumours of discontent had spread after it appeared his long-term assistant, Dani Vallverdu, as well as his fitness coach and physio had been kept in the dark over Mauresmo's initial announcement.
US Open preparations
However, all looks to be calm now, with all looking happy in the photos. It means that Murray is set to reveal that Mauresmo will still be in place for the US Open which starts later in August.
The 27-year-old is a former winner at Flushing Meadows, it was the destination of his maiden Grand Slam triumph when he beat Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller back in 2012 under former coach Ivan Lendl.
Things didn't go quite so well last year when he lost out to Stanislas Wawrinka in the last eight, it was a loss which preceded a troublesome spell of injury with consequential surgery and a tough rehabilitation period.
Contenders
The former world No.3 will hope that things can be different in New York this time around, though, as ever, there will be plenty of likely contenders. Rafael Nadal is the defending champion, while the likes of Novak Djokovic - the new world No.1 - and Roger Federer are always in the hunt.
Furthermore, the Wimbledon breakthrough acts like Milos Raonic, Nick Kyrgios and Dimitrov will hope to consolidate their decent form and ascent up the rankings.
Things will become a little clearer on who to watch out for when the next Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto kicks-off at the start of August, with most the top players registered to feature.

Rafael Nadal to retain the US Open?

While some players continue to take a break between Wimbledon and the run-in to the US Open, it creates a period for thought on how the rest of the year will pan out going into the second hard court season of the year.
There are vital ranking points to play for before the tournament at Flushing Meadows, which is the final Grand Slam of the year and begins on Monday August 25th.
Here are five things that we could expect to see in the coming weeks, including new hope for British fans, a comeback of sorts from the men’s world number two and a time of reckoning for a promising talent.
Do you agree with my predictions? If not, feel free to leave a comment below.

Real Madrid could sell Cristiano Ronaldo to balance books

Luis Suarez could make his Barcelona debut against Real Madrid in the first El Clasico of the 2014/15 La Liga season.
Ronaldo disappointed at the World Cup
The new signing is currently serving a four-month ban from all football activity after biting Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s FIFA World Cup Group D match against Italy.

Suspension
It was his third offence of this kind and he will miss the opening two months of the new Spanish season.
His suspension is set to end though on October 26 meaning that unless the fixture is moved back a day for television purposes, he could well make the most dramatic of debuts at Santiago Bernabeu following his £75 million move.
Although with the terms of Suarez’s ban stating that he cannot even take part in training, it is very unlikely that new manager Luis Enrique will throw him straight back into the action.
Fixtures
The fixtures for the 2014/15 La Liga campaign were released on Thursday morning, with the first El Clasico meeting due to take place on the weekend of 25-26 October.
Nou Camp will play host to the rematch on the weekend of March 22, as both sides look to regain the domestic crown from Atletico Madrid.
The reigning champions will begin the defence of their title with a trip to Rayo Vallecano when the season kicks off on August 24, while Barca host Elche and Real welcome newly-promoted Cordoba.
Another new addition to La Liga – Segunda Division winners Eibar will begin their campaign in the top flight with a home match against Real Sociedad, while runners-up Deportivo La Coruna commence their return to the top league by travelling to Granada.
We do not have to wait too long for the first big showdown of the 2014/15 season, as match day three brings the Madrid derby, and a repeat of the UEFA Champions League final, on September 14 at the Bernabeu. The return at Vicente Calderon will take place on February 8.
Last season
A repeat of the last season’s deciding encounter is on January 11, as Barca and Atletico do battle at the Nou Camp, while the rematch is scheduled for the penultimate match day of the season – how big could that contest prove in proceedings?
We are just a month away now from the big kick-off in Spain. Can Atletico survive the losses of key players and retain their crown? Will Suarez form the deadliest of attacking trios at Barca alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi? Or will the acquisition of James Rodriguez compliment Real’s combination of Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema and give them the edge? All will be revealed on August 24!
